It is Thursday, although this week it is my surrogate Friday! I decided to take tomorrow and next Monday just to have a long, lazy weekend. One thing I will do is drive to Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area with the hope of seeing some elk prancing about. The wildlife area is an hour west of here in the Clatsop State Forest.

I received my latest purchase from Easton Press. It took a long time for them to fulfill this order for some reason. It is a very nice-looking edition (and addition).

It is going to be in my TBR (To Be Read) pile until after my herbalism class. There is a lot of reading involved in that class. So far, we have had hefty reading assignments out of four different books. We have eight books we use for the class. There isn’t much more to say about the class right now, other than I am enjoying the learning.

I have an issue of Page & Screen that will go out this weekend. I need to write up my thoughts on a few movies that I watched since the last issue. Here is what you can expect from the next issue:

  • Book: The Red Badge of Courage, by Stephen Crane
  • Play: Oedipus the King, by Sophocles
  • Movie: “Sinners”
  • Movie: “The Amateur”
  • Streaming Movie: “Back in Action”

Finally, I want to say Happy Birthday! to one of my many siblings. He shall remain nameless to protect the guilty. This is for you:
